A fund-raising dinner dance in Weston Turville on Saturday July 9th has been organised in association with AP Entertainments. It features entertainment by the 60′s and 70′s guitar band “The Kez” with a BBQ dinner.
Celebrity Chef Lotte Duncan is supporting the ‘Sunny Sunflower’ month of June by baking and selling special cakes from Lotte’s Kitchen in Chinnor during the week ending 18th June.

June is the month of the Sunflower appeal – we are looking for a special response this year and have lots of fundraising opportunities for you in addition to the usual collections. Also, in Winslow, the weekend of June 18th/19th offers a tabletop sale and the Midsummer Memory walk.
The cake is a fruit cake with brandy and nuts, made by volunteer gardener at the Hospice, Sally Collins.
Pat Dodge, FNHC CEO, has written a thank you letter to reflect the work of volunteers who responded to the call for help required after the fire damage at the Furniture Warehouse. Also thanked are the Bucks Herald and Mix 96 FM for leading the call for replacement stock, and Stupples of Aylesbury estate agents for coming up with temporary storage facilities.
A fire in a unit adjacent to the Furniture Warehouse has caused smoke damage to the stock and all soft furnishing goods have had to be disposed. We urgently need replacement items for the Warehouse.

The Staff Nurses and HCA’s at FN Hospice were awarded the ‘Pride of Aylesbury’ award last week by the Bucks Herald. They received a bouquet of flowers and had their picture taken.

The Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNHC), Aylesbury, and Keech Hospice Care, Luton, issued a joint thank you message today to local Leighton Buzzard Morrisons store and its staff for helping to raise over £1600 through its fundraising efforts.

An Aylesbury College student group with their tutors have raised £238 for FNHC by undertaking a sponsored 20km walk in the local area.

Recent fundraising efforts from two clubs have resulted in substantial donations. The Magnolia Golf Club of Boarstall supported neighbouring hospice charities at their golf day.

There was also a great effort from Aylesbury’s
Rosemary Conley diet and fitness Club
