Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity's Colour Rush

"What an awesome day for children and adults alike!"

Show your true colours for your Hospice

Imagine clouds of colour and a crowd of laughing rainbow-coloured people, throw in a fun-filled 5k run or walk in a beautiful country park with people you love and you've got the fantastic family experience that is the Colour Rush!

What is Colour Rush?

It's a 5k circular route which you can run, jog or walk, but with a difference! Every kilometre there is a colour station where the runners get showered with multi-coloured powder so everyone becomes a human rainbow by the finish!

It's open to the whole family, with a 'Mini-Rush' taking place before the main event for any little ones who want to be part of this spectacular event, but who might not manage the full 5k! (Please note: children under 5 are welcome to take part in the 5k event, but it is their parent or carer's responsibility to ensure their safety.)

It's not just for fun though - Colour Rush helps Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity raise crucial funds for Florrie's Children's Team, which provides care for children suffering with life-limiting illness in their own home.

When and where is it?

Colour Rush will take place at 11am AND 2pm on Sunday 8th October 2017, the final day of Hospice Care Week.

The venue is ALF Green Park, Stablebridge Road, Aston Clinton, Bucks HP22 5NE - click here for directions.

What is included in my registration fee?

After Registration, you will receive a welcome email with full details of the event plus hints and tips for enjoying the Colour Rush and raising sponsorship money.

On the day, every Adult, Junior and Family entry participant will receive:

  • A Colour Rush 2017 T-shirt
  • Neon sunglasses (must be worn when entering colour stations)
  • Polythene poncho (to keep your car clean on the way home)
  • Bag of coloured powder
  • Medal

Mini-Rushers do not receive a T-shirt and sunglasses, but they will get a Medal when they finish. There will also be sunglasses and other accessories available to buy at Registration.

How much is it to register and how much sponsorship should I raise?

Entry fees are as follows:

Entry Type Early Bird Price (before 31st August) Standard Price (from 1st September)
Adults 5k £19 £25
Junior 5k (0-17 years) £9 £12
Mini-Rush £5 £5
Family (2 adults, 2 kids) £50 £60

If you would like to enter a team, please contact us directly for entry fees on 01296 429 975.

Colour Rush raised just over £14,000 last year, which went towards care by the Florrie's Children's Team for children with terminal or life-limiting illness. It is a vital source of income for the Charity, and so we would be very grateful if all participants could try to raise a minimum of £20 in sponsorship. Any adult that raises over £150 will get their registration fee refunded.

It sounds amazing - how do I sign up?

Good luck with your fundraising and we'll see you there in a blaze of colour!
