I'm doing the midnight walk in memory of my mother in law Barbie who was cared for by such a fantastic team at the hospice. She was known and loved by so many people but our love for her will go on forever in our hearts. Love and miss her so much. Loads of love from all her family, Kerry, Richard, Joshua + Luke xxxx - Kerry Beet
It will be a great honour to take part in the Midnight Walk on the 9th July in memory of my dear Mum who is very sadly missed and also for the benefit of the very deserving charity the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity. - Debbie Goodchild
My daughter Emily (13) and I are walking the full 13 miles. We also have a team of supporters and we are walking together under the team name "Zara's Walkers". My daughter Zara (4) is diagnosed with a life limiting genetic disease called Noonan Syndrome. We have no family locally and no support network. The Florrie's Team have been able to support the whole family and give us respite so we can have a break. Our Florrie's nurse, Angie has become part of our family and we have a lovely relationship with her. Florrie's and FNH has given us back a part of us that got lost for a while when Zara was ill. - Kelly Stallwood
Our dad was a true character and always full of life, never staying in the same place for any length of time and always on the go. He travelled the world in the Navy and I think the travel itch never left him. It’s this that made the sudden impact of his tumour even more shocking, it happened very quickly and he passed away 8 weeks after diagnosis. The hospice staff were amazing, kind and thoughtful and gave my dad the utmost respect and dignity during his short time there and made his wish to be at home at the end possible, and for all of this we will never be able to thank them enough. The whole family miss him dearly, especially my mum, and the Midnight Walk is just a small way we can give back and remember him as he would want to be remembered, full of life and on the move! We all love you dad, you’ll always be in our hearts and thoughts and know you will be smiling down on us. Love always, Michelle & Claire xxx - Michelle & Claire Merrison
