Volunteer Ecommerce Photographer (based at Chamberlain Road Aylesbury)    

Why do we need you?

To assist the Manager in our eCommerce office to prepare and present donations, in order to raise funds for Hospice services.

What will you be doing?

  • Dress mannequins and prepare items ready to photograph in an eye-catching way.
  • Take photographs to bring out the features of items.
  • Adjust lighting equipment as required.
  • Upload images to Desktop

What skills will you need?

  • Interest in photography. (No experience necessary as training will be provided).
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team alongside other volunteers.
  • Creativity with photography and when describing the items, which will be placed online for the customers to view.
  • Reliability and some flexibility when responding to management requests and suggestions.

What support will you receive?

  • Full training
  • Induction
  • Ongoing support from the Manager and fellow volunteers

What will you gain from your volunteering?

  • Training and ongoing support in the processes of the Online Shop
  • A chance to meet new people and make new friends.
  • Gain valuable experience and new skills.

  • Describe the items using the Listing Tool template and price following appropriate guidelines and resources
  • Research special items as required to maximise knowledge and value.
  • Select and pack sold items to be posted as required.
  • Photograph items for the Shop as required.

What skills will you need?

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Some special product area interest would be beneficial.
  • Reliability and some flexibility when responding to management requests and suggestions.

What support will you receive?

  • Full training
  • Induction
  • Ongoing support from the Manager and fellow volunteers

Charity Shop Volunteer Roles  

Charity Shops: We have vacancies in our Chinnor, Winslow and our Wendover shop on various days for 3-4 hours a day, as well as our Aylesbury shop on Thursday afternoons to assist the Shop Manager with the sorting, steaming and pricing of donations. If you love fashion and enjoy meeting people these positions could be the perfect opportunity for you. Read more about volunteering in our Shops here.

Retail volunteers are needed for our ebay shop located in our Furniture Showroom, Aylesbury. Could you spare some time to help out with preparing items for sale and postage? If you have an interest in unusual items – this could be the role for you.

Hospice, Fundraising & Young Ambassador Volunteers  

Volunteers are needed at the Hospice to offer treatments to patients, in particular a hairdresser on a Wednesday

Fundraising volunteers are needed at our Charity offices to help with the preparation for mass participation (Click here for Events Admin Volunteer role) and community events (Click here for Community Event Volunteer role), assist with online donor care (Click here for Online Donor Volunteer role) and the maintenance of our fundraising database (Click here for Volunteer Database Administration role).

In addition we are seeking volunteers to help with event set-up and take-down, man stalls/stands, support street collections (car driver essential) (Click here for Events Day Volunteer role)

Young volunteersYoung Ambassadors (YA) We are looking for young professionals, students and graduates, aged 16-35, who are interested in helping to spread the word about local Hospice care & the importance of fundraising amongst peer groups via our YAs.

Working at the Hospice Lottery Partnership (HLP) is a great opportunity to join a fun team and work closely with our hospice partners to raise funds to continue their special work in the local community.
