You must not ‘give’ your place to anyone else.
Children taking part in the Family Fun Run who are under the age of 12 on Saturday 6th April must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and the safety and welfare of the child is the responsibility of that adult. Everyone under the age of 16 needs to have parental/guardian consent to sign up for the Family Fun Run. Those aged 12 and under must have parental/guardian consent AND run/walk with a responsible adult over the age of 18 who must also register for the Family Fun Run. Those aged 13-15 can run/walk on their own but MUST have a responsible adult over the age of 18 in attendance AT THE VENUE – this person does not have to register for the Family Fun Run or take part. Anyone aged 16 or over can do the event without a responsible adult in attendance if they wish.
There is no fixed sponsorship target, but Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity would like you to raise as much sponsorship money as you can and if everyone who takes part raises at least £20 we could raise an amazing £4,000 in one day! Sponsorship plays a huge role in the amount we can raise from this event so we ask that all Walkers commit to asking friends, family, colleagues and workplaces for sponsorship for taking part, but there is no minimum sponsorship requirement. Click here to download the 80s Family Fun Run Sponsorship Form. You can also click here to go to the 80s Family Fun Run JustGiving page where you can set up your own sponsorship page to raise money online. This is a really effective way to raise awareness of your participation in the event and reach a wider group of people to ask for sponsorship. All sponsorship money raised in the name of 80s Family Fun Run and Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity must be given directly to Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity to comply with the law on charitable fundraising.
The 80s Family Fun Run will start at 11:00am. Registration will start at 10am, and we recommend that you arrive nice and early to register, collect your runners number and get warmed up. The official Warm-up will start at 10.45am.
No, we don't send out Runner Packs in the post - this is to help keep costs down so we can make more money for the Hospice. You will receive your Runner number when you register on the day.
