Aylesbury’s premier baking competition is back on Friday 5 October, 12pm-2pm at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
The winners of last year’s Aylesbury Bake Off, Williams Properties Estate Agents, will be hosting Aylesbury’s premier cooking competition at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on Friday 5 October. The professional judging takes place at 11am and the doors open for cake fans to taste, vote and buy the entries from 12pm until 2pm – all in aid of Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity.
Our Judges this year are Alena Winter and Rachael Lucas.
At 2pm there will be the prize-giving for both the Judges’ Winner and the Public’s Winner.
Who can enter?
It’s an exclusive but hard-fought competition – only employees of Solicitors, Estate Agents and Independent Financial Advisers in Aylesbury are invited to take part, pitting law, finance and real estate against each other in a battle of whisks.
How to enter
Each company can provide up to two homemade cakes baked by two employees. There is often an initial round with an internal bake off prior to the event to help the company find their ‘Top Bakers’.
The baker of the winning cake will be presented with the Aylesbury Bake Off plaque to be displayed at their company offices.
There will be a display in the Waterside Theatre showing the names of all the firms entering the competition.
To enter, email Emma Carroll on firstname.lastname@example.org
The public vote
All competition cakes will be displayed and available to sample in the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre foyer between 12pm-2pm on 5th October. Anyone can come along and buy cake slices for £1 to eat in or take away. Anyone who buys THREE or more slices of cake qualifies to vote for their favourite cake. The cake that gets the most public votes will win the Public’s Prize, kindly donated by Williams Properties Estate Agents.
The money raised from the sale of cakes all goes to the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity.
Tea, coffee and light lunches will also be on sale in the Theatre Café.
